Petra, Jordan and Egyptian Tour Package
Tour Overview:
This ten days and nine nights tour package will take you to some amazing sights in Egypt and then to Petra, Jordan. You will visit the Pyramids at Giza, Egyptian Museum, Temples, the cities of Aswan and Luxor, a ferry ride to and from Aqaba, and many other sights will fill you visit to Egypt and Jordan. You will have time to shop and enjoy the local culture as you travel from location to location.
Petra
A typical itinerary for this tour is:
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo Egypt
Day 2: Visit Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum
Day 3: Sightseeing in Aswan and Elephantine Island
Day 4: Sightseeing all around Aswan
Day 5: Sightseeing in Luxor
Day 6: Travel to Taba
Day 7: Travel to Jordan and Wadi Rum
Day 8: Visit the Siq and the High Place of Sacrifice
Day 9: Return to Taba and travel to Cairo
Day 10: Departure from Cairo International Airport.
Pyramid of Chefren
Details of your trip:
Days one through day five is spent taking in key sight in Egypt along the Nile River. During this part of the trip you visit key places of interest. Day two takes you the Pyramids at Giza where you visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. You will also see the Sphinx and the Valley Temple and will see the collection of pharaonic artifacts at the Egyptian Museum. You will experience the wonderful comfort on the sleeper train as you travel between locations, eating dinner, and breakfast the next morning before reaching your destination. Days three and four will be spent in Aswan sightseeing. On day three you travel in a felucca boat around Elephantine Island. Spending the night in Aswan on day four you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk and the lovely Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. End the day by traveling in an air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor. Day five will be spent on an outing to the Valley of the Kings, The Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, the amazing Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temple. The will end taking a sleeper train back to Cairo.
Pyramid of Cheops
Days six through day ten will take you into Jordan, then back to Cairo for your departure. Your trip into Jordan will take you to Taba, Egypt for some free time to relax before boarding the ferry to Aqaba, Jordan, the next morning. On day seven you board the ferry in Taba Heights for the trip to Aqaba. Arriving in Aqaba, you will transfer to a jeep for your 133 km trip to Petra. While traveling, you visit Wadi Rum, the sand dunes at Wadi El Ishrin and Lawrence’s spring. Key features to look for in this region are Nabataean inscriptions. Once in Petra, you will spend the night at the hotel. Day eight will take you to the Siq, canyon, here you walk through the canyon to see lovely carvings of statues, idols and niches on your way to the treasury. Then you’ll follow the path up to the High Place of Sacrifice. This location is carved flat and drainage channels run away from the table top to allow blood to flow away from the sacrificed animal. The day ends back in Petra at the hotel. Day nine begins with breakfast and leaving the hotel to return to the port at Aqaba. At the port you will board the ferry to return to Taba, Egypt. From Taba you will drive back to Cairo where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel. In the morning you will transfer to the Cairo International Airport to depart for home.
