Jordan and Egypt Tour: 12-Day/11-Night Package, Excursion.
Enjoy Jordan and Egypt like never before! An exclusive 12-day/11-night tour will immerse you in the history of Jordan’s and Egypt’s different civilizations from ancient times through the present. Egyptian monuments will give you further understanding of both the past and present civilizations throughout Egypt.
Day 1: Egypt Arrival
You will be met at the Cairo International Airport then overnight in Cairo at your hotel.
Day 2: Tour of the Pyramids
The Great Pyramids of Mykerinus, Chefren and Cheops are first on the agenda after breakfasting. Next, you will visit the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. The 3rd stop on your itinerary is Sakkara and the first step pyramid ever built – the Step Pyramid of Zoser. After that is Memphis – ancient Egypt’s capital city. You will overnight and breakfast in your hotel in Cairo.

Day 3: Egyptian Museum and the Citadel of Salah Din
You will see a vast array of artefacts – including treasures and artefacts from the Pharaonic period and King Tutankhamen’s tomb –at the Egyptian museum. Next is a visit to the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. You will overnight on a first-class sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner and breakfast are provided
Day 4: Beautiful Luxor on the East Bank of the Nile
You will disembark the sleeper train in Luxor then escorted to your hotel for check-in. Thereafter, you will have an afternoon jaunt to the Karnak and Luxor Temples. You will overnight and breakfast in your Luxor hotel.
Day 5: Experience Luxor First-Hand
Temple of Hatshepsut
A large itinerary is on the list today! You will, after breakfast, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut – the most powerful female Egyptian Pharaoh – the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of Kings. Thereafter, you will be escorted to Luxor’s airport to fly to Sharm where you will overnight and breakfast in a hotel.
Day 6: Visit St. Catherin Monastery
You will be driven to St. Catherine Monastery where you will take in the full majesty of the monastery, the burning bush and the room of skulls. You will have some free time before overnighting in St. Catherine. Breakfast and Dinner are included.
Day 7: Visit Taba and Moses Mountain
At 2:00 AM, you will begin a climb up Moses Mountain to take in the majestic sunrise. Travel back down for refreshment at your hotel. Then drive to Taba where you will overnight. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Day 8: Aqaba Port to Wadi Rum on to Petra

You will be driven to the marina at Taba Heights for a ferry boat ride to Aqaba. Then, you will go to Wadi Rum and go by Bedouin Jeeps to Lawrence’s Spring and then onto the dunes where you will see various Nabatean inscriptions. Drive on to Petra hotel for check-in and free time. Breakfast included
Note: Barragh Canyon will not be visited because it is close to the Saudi border or Lawrence House because using the jeep is more expensive.
Day 9: To Amman from Petra
Today, after breakfast, you will have the opportunity to tour Petra (dubbed the red rose city), which is Jordan’s largest attraction. Nabataea Arabs, a nomadic people, first settled Petra around the 6th century B.C. where they founded a commercial empire. Once in Petra, you will take in this beautiful city by horseback toward the canyon Siq. Then, you will walk to the Treasury, said to be the most glorious monument in the area. Other monuments you will visit include the Pharaoh’s Castle, the Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs. End your trip and overnight in Amman. Breakfast included
Day 10: Tour of Amman Then Jerash
The places on today’s tour of Amman City include King Abdullah’s Mosque, Folklore and Archaeological Museums and the Roman Theatre. Jerash is next, which is considered the premier Middle Eastern example of a Roman provincial city. You will visit the South Theatre, Demeanors and St. Cosmos church, the Artemis Temple, the North Theatre and Nymphaeum. You will overnight and have breakfast in Amman.
Day 11: To Port of Aqaba from Amman
Your morning is free but hotel check-out time is noon. Then, drive the 4 hours to Aqaba for a shopping excursion. Thereafter, you will go to the Aqaba port and be transferred to Taba. Maxim Tours representative will meet and assist you at Taba port. Then, you will be escorted to Cairo to overnight in a hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 12: Day of Departure
After breakfast, you will be escorted to Cairo International Airport for Final Departure.
