This Christian tour of Egypt includes such places as the famous Baramus Monastery Church of the Holy Virgin, Wadi Natroun, Church of Abu Serga, Church of St. Barbara, the famous Hanging Church and many more!
Day 1: Arrival in Egypt
At the Cairo International Airport, we will meet you and transport you to a Cairo hotel for the night.
Day 2: Tour of Old Coptic Cairo
Your first stop is the Hanging Church, where the nave is hanging from an old Babylonian fortress. Then on to the St. Barbara Church, the Coptic Museum and Jewish Synagogue and the 4th century Church of Abu Serga (Bacchus and St. Sergius). Afterwards, you will stay the night and breakfast in Cairo.
Day 3: Wadi Natroun Excursion

Baramus Monastery
Your adventure continues in the desert Coptic Monasteries of the Wadi Natroun. The trip includes the famous Baramus Monastery, built in 340 AD by Macarius the Great and is still in use. Thereafter, you will spend another night and breakfast at your Cairo hotel.
Day 4: Monasteries of the Red Sea Mountains
Lying in the Eastern Desert at the foot of the Red Sea Mountains are the Monastery of St. Paul and the Coptic Monastery of St. Antony. St. Paul was famous for being one of the first hermits and St. Anthony was a founder of Christian monasticism. Both of these 4th and 5th century monasteries still house monks. You will spend the night and breakfast in Cairo.

Day 5: Tour of the Holy Virgin Church
This triple cupola church, at Maadi on the banks of the Nile, is next. Thereafter is the beautifully situated Monastery of St. Simeon the Tanner, which is just outside of Cairo on the Mokattam Mountain. This 10th century saint was said to have moved the mountain on his faith alone! You will then spend the night and breakfast in your Cairo hotel.
Day 6: Explore the Monastery of St. Menas
A celebrated martyr’s monastery, which was recently built, is next on the agenda! The Alexandrian site of Maryut is the home of the St. Menas monastery. The location was considered the Lourdes of the ancient world and the monastery, which was built on top of a 4th century shrine, also contains various excavated churches. Thereafter, you will be taken back to Cairo and your hotel
Day 7: Adventure to Coptic Cathedral
Some of the most breath taking Cairo Coptic Churches will be seen today. You will see such places as the Coptic Cathedral at Abbassia and Haret El Roum’s Holy Virgin Church, which was built in the 10th century. You will then stay overnight and breakfast in Cairo.
Day 8: The End of Your Fabulous Adventure
After breakfast, you will be transported to the Cairo International Airport to depart.
